DEAL BRIEF
NCIF II Lux S.á.r.l. (“Nuveen”) has signed definitive documents to participate in the Series C Funding Round of Epimoney Private Limited, a non-banking financial company classified as an NBFC-ICC and commonly known as “Flexiloans”, along with other institutional investors Accion, The Fundamentum Partnership and Maj Invest.
Flexiloans is a digital lending platform offering collateral-free working capital loans to MSMEs through an online marketplace.
OUR ROLE
We at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as the regulatory, legal and tax counsel to Nuveen and advised Nuveen on structuring, due diligence review and documentation for the transaction.

Nuveen is the global investment manager of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (“TIAA”), managing public and private assets worldwide. TIAA is one of the largest institutional investors in the world, with $1.2 trillion worth of global assets under management as of December 31, 2023.
