Why This Conversation, Why Now

A defining moment is taking shape across the India-US deep tech corridor, and few platforms are better positioned to convene it than TiE Silicon Valley. Founded in 1992 by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region, TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, has spent more than three decades fostering entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation. As the founding chapter of a global movement that now spans 63 chapters across 16 countries, TiE Silicon Valley has been, and remains, the original bridge between Silicon Valley capital and ideas born in India.

That bridge has never mattered more than it does today. The Government of India's Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme, with a corpus of ₹1 lakh crore (~$12 billion), is channeling long-term capital into semiconductors, space, quantum, robotics, AI, biotech, advanced manufacturing, and energy.

In parallel, the India Deep Tech Alliance (IDTA) — an industry-led consortium of leading US and Indian investors and corporates, including Celesta Capital, Accel, Premji Invest, InfoEdge, Blume Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Chiratae Ventures, Gaja Capital, Nvidia, Qualcomm Ventures, Applied Materials, Lam Research, and others  — has mobilized over $2.5 billion in commitments to back India-domiciled deep tech companies over the next five to ten years.

A defining moment is taking shape across the India–US deep tech corridor. The Government of India's Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme, with a corpus of ₹1 lakh crore (~$12 billion), is channeling long-term capital into semiconductors, space, quantum, robotics, AI, biotech, advanced manufacturing, and energy.

Public capital catalyzing strategic R&D in India. Private capital is deploying with conviction across the corridor. And the TiE network — the entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors who have been quietly building this bridge for over thirty years — is providing the human infrastructure that makes any of it work. This session is an opportunity to engage directly with the people building all three.
