Engineering and services group Bilfinger, headquartered in Germany, has entered documents to acquire American Water Technologies specialists Johnson screens

DEAL BRIEF

Engineering and services group Bilfinger, headquartered in Germany, has entered into transaction documents to acquire American water technologies specialists Johnson Screens, having footprints in 11 different locations worldwide. The Indian operations of Johnson Screens were stationed under the Indian entity Johnson Screens (India) Private Limited. Johnson Screens produces mechanical components for the separation of solids from liquids and gases and provides associated services. The products are used for drinking water extraction, in the oil and gas industry and in other industrial sectors for wastewater treatment and resource reclamation. The acquisition of Johnson Screens will allow Bilfinger to continue its growth strategy in the field of water and wastewater technology.

We, at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as the Indian legal counsel to Bilfinger for this transaction.
