Mediating Commercial Disputes in India

This research paper, developed in collaboration with the Singapore International Mediation Centre and the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre, Hyderabad, explores mediation from both Indian and international perspectives. It reviews the evolution of mediation laws in India leading up to the Mediation Act,2023 detailing its provisions on mediation definitions, procedures, and enforcement. Additionally, the paper examines the United Nations' Singapore Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, highlighting its key aspects and global impact. The study aims to enhance understanding of mediation practices and their legal frameworks on a global scale.
